Brain Edema
We are developing a model to compute the volume and flow rates of interstitial fluid under normal and various edematic conditions, before and after administration of drugs that affect the blood-brain barrier permeability for use in planning therapies to control side effects during treatment of cancers and other diseases. Such flow models will also have applications in disease management and drug delivery. This work is undertaken with internal funds.
